The Cat Empire returns to Australia for a Summer Tour. Having just played their 600th show, you’d think the guys would be thinking of taking a well-earned break over summer, but following tour dates this month across Europe, the band will return to Australia to prepare for the biggest shows they have played at, on home soil. The Cat Empire’s summer tour will also showcase the live talents of other Australian favourites, Blue King Brown and The Beautiful Girls. “Basically we want to create the kind of event we would like to go to”, Felix said. “We go to so many festivals and shows all around the world, so we have become pretty harsh critics. The bands we have chosen to play with us on this tour are all about great live shows, and that’s what we want to create – a killer live event. The production will be great. The venues are mostly outdoors, so we can make the most of being home for the summer.”
Tickets are on sale Thursday November 22.
