Great diversity existed as musicians continued to pursue styles that would become synonymous with them. <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Stand </I>(Sly & The Family Stone), <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">The Band,</I> <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Hot Rats</I> (Frank Zappa), <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Crosby, Stills & Nash</I>, <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Let It Bleed</I> (The Rolling Stones), <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Led Zeppelin</I>, <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Abbey Road</I> (The Beatles), <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">New York Tendaberry</I> (Laura Nyro), <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Green River</I> (Creedence Clearwater Revival), all came out in the last year of the ‘60’s.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US style="COLOR: black"><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">So too did the debut for King Crimson, a London based quartet of virtuoso musicians who would raise the bar for prog rock bands of the day with an extraordinary album that featured mellotron, guitar and songs full of psychedelic imagery.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US style="COLOR: black"><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">‘In The Court Of The Crimson King’ was first released in the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">U.K.</st1:place></st1:country-region> on October 12<SUP>th</SUP> 1969.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN><o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US style="COLOR: black"><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">The original masters – with splicing tape still present between the various songs and the segue between ‘I Talk To The Wind’ and ‘Epitaph’ yet to be created – were discovered in the Virgin archives in 2003.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
